SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE BOARD OF INDIA (SEBI)

  1. Increase in FII debt limit in Government & Corporate Debt Category: Government vide press release dated November 18, 2011 has decided to:
  2. a. Increase the current limit of FII investment in Government Securities by US $ 5 billion raising the cap to US $ 15 billion. The incremental limit of US $ 5 billion can be invested in securities without any residual maturity criterion.

    b. Increase the current limit of FII investment in corporate bonds by US $ 5 billion raising the cap to US $ 20 billion. The incremental limit of US $ 5 billion can be invested in listed corporate bonds.

  3. Format for submitting Draft Letter of Offer under Regulation 16 (1) of SEBI (SAST) Regulations, 2011: SEBI vide circular no. SEBI/CFD/DCR/SAST/ 1/2011/09/23 dated September 23, 2011 had specified the format for submitting Draft Letter of Offer to SEBI under Regulation 16(1) of the SEBI (SAST) Regulations. SEBI has now vide its recent circular no. SEBI/CFD/DCR/SAST/ 3/2011/11/22 dated  22nd November, 2011 inserted certain additional instructions to the earlier format which have to be followed.
